The last game of the second round of matches sees the mighty West End Saints take on Knowle Village at Lordshill Rec. Last time we played them they proved they could bat and they also proved that they could not bowl in the slightest with that legendary 21 ball over. Will they have improved and if so, will they cause the Mighty Village some problems in addition to the ones they have of their own. Last week Knowle Village were on the next pitch over and quite clearly had a girl bowling at about 90mph.... oh dear.
Despite being decimated by absentees, West End Saints CC aim to keep up their 100% record with regard to attendance. Out go The Guru (implants), Jonjo Fox (RSI wrist injury), Tommy 49 (court appearance) and Lookie Spin (fissures). In come Dayer, The Hoob, Mikey Spray and Geoff Baselayer. A somewhat worrying batting line-up sees the Skip and his agricultural mowing at 3 and Jeweller de Vito in at 4. There are also rumours that the Sunderland boy could make a trip up the order. Scary shit.
