Mighty Village Promoted Again !!!

Worty: You Dirty Village Bastards, We're Coming for You

There has been a fuck up.

Someone has been a bit premature and it was me. I got given a provisional copy of the new seasons fixtures to proof read and it looked ok so I posted our fixtures.  Straight after that a team dropped out and so all the leagues got re-jigged and …. We got promoted.  So, we’re now in Division 3 by default a Division 5 has disappeared…. and our fixtures are below.  Nothing else changes and our league matches are still on Thursday night – there’s just a better chance that the opposition will have 11 and there won’t be as many ‘black trainer’ boys.
So, our new fixture list is as follows….

Sat 14/4/12    Lager & Ale & Curry  (Pubs / Curry Houses in Southampton)

Thu 3/5/12          The Arrow                           (Sports Centre)
Thu 10/5/12        Bladefull                              (Parks)
Thu 17/5/12        Ordnance Survey                 (Sports Centre)
Thu 24/5/12        NATS                                   (Parks)

Thu 14/6/12        Kerala                                    (Sports Centre)
Mon 18/6/12      Sotonshire or R.Mail            (Parks or R'side - Cup 2nd Round)

Thu 21/6/12        The Arrow                             (Parks)
Thu 28/6/12        Bladefull                              (Sports Centre)
Thu 5/7/12          Ordnance Survey                 (Parks)
Thu 12/7/12        NATS                                  (Sports Centre)
Mon 16/7/12      (Cup Semi Finals)                (Parks or Sports Centre)
Thu 19/7/12        Southamptonshire               (Parks)
Thu 26/7/12        HE Jams                              (Parks)
Thu 2/8/12          Kerala                                  (Sports Centre)
Fri 10/8/12          (Presidents Cup Final)        (Rose Bowl)
Mon 13/8/12      (Plate Final)                         (Rose Bowl)
This means we have two and potentially three games against one of our esteemed ex-Villagers as Worty runs the Southamptonshire side.  We last saw Worty at the presentation evening a couple of years ago when he was due to receive a trophy for being the best bowler.  He went up to receive his award only to find they'd engraved the wicket keepers name on it and he'd never bowled a ball in his life.  I don't do it justice on here but it was fucking hilarious.
